Atlantic Area Programme and Northern Periphery & Arctic Programme – Survey
The next Interreg Programmes are currently being designed, and the NWRA want to hear from you.
If you have in the past or plan to in the future, apply for INTERREG funding we need to hear your thoughts.
We would be most grateful if you could complete the survey on the following link Interreg Survey NWRA by Wednesday 3rd December. The survey should take 5 minutes and you can edit your answers right up to the point of submission.
The results of the survey will assist us in ensuring that Irish stakeholders have a voice in the design and focus of the next programmes.
Currently (2014 – 2020) there are 11 key EU funding priorities, this has been reduced to 5 Key Funding Priorities in the next programming period (2021 – 2027):
- P1 – Smarter Europe
- P2 – Greener Europe
- P3 – More Connected Europe
- P4 – More Social Europe
- P5 – Europe closer to Citizens
The next Interreg Programmes will be focused on these priorities; however, we feel from discussion with the commission, Interreg Programmes will mainly focus on P1 and P2, with some elements of the other priorities being taken into consideration.
The other major change to the next programming period will be the geography of the programmes, with Brexit leaving a large gap in the programme area of both Atlantic Area and Northern Periphery and Arctic Programmes.
From an Irish perspective the entire country will remain within the programme area of the Atlantic Area Programme, however we hope to increase the programme area of the NPA programme in Ireland, final decisions on this process are still on going.
