European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) strategic outcomes or priorities are achieved through a number of schemes managed by the Northen and Western Regional Assembly and implemented by the NWRA, Local Authorities and State Agencies.
Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland, ARC Hubs
The Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland, ARC Hubs scheme has an allocation of €34 million to establish a new model for regional innovation and entrepreneurial training.
Technology Gateway Programme
The Technology Gateway Programme will increase the levels of interaction between Industry in the regions and our Technological University (ATU).
TU Rise
The TU RISE scheme has been allocated €20 million to support research capacity building in higher education institutions in the technological sector.
Smart Regions Enterprise Innovation
The Smart Regions Enterprise Innovation Scheme will capitalise on existing regional enterprise partnerships and complement priorities set out in the Regional Enterprise Plans and the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES).
KT Boost
The KT Boost scheme has an allocation of €9.8m to support and provide resources to Innovation Offices/Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Innovators’ Initiative
The Innovators’ Initiative scheme is designed to attract individuals and inter-disciplinary teams who will be supported to generate new product and process ideas and new IP.
Warmer Homes
The Warmer Homes scheme will improve the energy performance of owner-occupied homes of lower income households in our region.
THRIVE
THRIVE has an allocation of €30.7 million to support local authorities and their citizens to re-imagine town centres and to transform publicly-owned vacant or derelict heritage buildings.
