Not bad, but add in the title of Adventure Capital and the burgeoning Blueway’s tourism proposition and we have a truly unique place. A place that boasts emerging sectors focusing on life sciences, advanced manufacturing, marine economy, entrepreneurship and over 140 multi-national brands. This region can be the most resilient, low carbon and dynamic place in the world.
The NWRA is aiming to be a platform for collaboration and the body that can help drive convergence so that it’s true latent potential can be reached.

The EU Engagement Team aims to be the hub of information relating to EU funding mechanisms and we want to help.
Interreg Programme
The overarching objective of INTERREG is to promote a harmonious economic, social and territorial development of the Union as a whole.
Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme
Transnational co-operation projects, including regions in Western Ireland, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Scotland, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland and Norway.
Atlantic Area Programme
Transnational cooperation projects in 37 Atlantic regions of five countries: France, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Interreg Europe
Helping regional and local governments across Europe to develop and deliver better policy, by creating an environment and opportunities for sharing solutions.
National Contact Point
The role of the National Contact Point is to give personalised support to project applicants from Ireland.
Research and Capacity Building
Working to enhance the reputation of this region of Ireland as an attractive place to live, work, visit and do business.
Regional Networks
Part of the role of the NWRA is to contribute to the policy development across the region and to shape the future of the Northern and Western Region.
